L'idea che avevo ben precisa in testa, era quella di realizzare uno specchio, non gigantesco ma neppure troppo piccolo - diciamo tra il 100 e i 150 cm massimo - che utilizzasse come cornice, un assemblaggio di "pezzi di legno" massello, di varia provenienza (quindi anche essenze diverse), pezzi eventualmente di "risulta" (cioè di scarto), da assemblare poi in modo decisamente manuale, così da ottenere
oggetti simili, ma sempre diversi uno dall'altro.

The idea that I had very clear in my head was to create a mirror, not gigantic but not too small either - let's say between 100 and 150 cm maximum - which used as a frame, an assembly of solid "pieces of wood", of various origin (therefore also different essences), pieces possibly of processing waste, to then be assembled in a decidedly manual way, so as to obtain similar objects, but always different from each other.

Ho così ottenuto una serie di immagini, piuttosto convincenti su cui lavorare che qui raccolgo perché anche voi ne abbiate un'idea.

Given the necessary "randomness" of assembly and design, I exploited the potential offered by Ai image generators to investigate and pre-visualize this idea.
I thus obtained a series of rather convincing images to work on which I have collected here so that you too can have an idea.

I thus obtained a series of rather convincing images to work on which I have collected here so that you too can have an idea.
Avevo a disposizione anche composizioni molto più "bizzarre", ma la strada era segnata... Anche le opzioni "tonde" erano interessanti, probabilmente più semplici nella realizzazione dei singoli pezzi, ma ho scelto la strada "quadrata".

L'opzione "illuminazione" era nei "prompt", è certamente di effetto, ma a livello pratico non ho voluto introdurre un'altra complicazione al progetto anche sapendo che di per sé l'aggiunta di un'illuminazione a LED non presenterebbe complicazioni particolari.

Ho quindi iniziato un lavoro di rifinitura sull'immagine scelta, andando a separare di quanto necessario i singoli pezzi di legno tra loro e aggiustando (con programma di photo-editing) forme e texture che trovavo troppo mosse o complesse - notare ad esempio l'angolo
in alto a destra delle due immagini.

A questo punto con una traccia bene precisa seppure "piatta", sono passato allo sviluppo 3D, che ha implicato anche la progettazione degli elementi di sostegno e di appoggio per il vetro-specchio e l'intera struttura.

È a questo punto che l'immagine generata in Ai, poi rifinita e rielaborata (vedi sopra), è tornata doppiamente utile, perché facendola coincidere esattamente con il 3D creato (lavoro di dettaglio), poteva fare da texture per i rendering che dovevo realizzare successivamente e che vedete qui sotto.

Sono arrivato così alle tavole finali di presentazione del progetto. Faccio notare come anche l'inserto di "legni sfusi" che arricchisce le tavole al centro, è stato generato tramite Ai in pochi minuti, questo a vantaggio di lunghe ricerche su database di immagini e eventuali relativi costi di utilizzo.

This is how I arrived at the final presentation tables of the project. I would like to point out that even the insert of "loose woods" that enriches the boards in the center, was generated via Ai in a few minutes, this to the advantage of long searches on image databases and any related costs of use.

Siamo all'ultima nota - non meno importante - sull'utilizzo di immagini Ai, che in questo caso sono servite per le ambientazioni che avete visto sino a qui.
Anche in questo contesto grosso aiuto, perché ho potuto gestire prospettiva, arredamento, colore delle pareti e avere ben più di una ambientazione tra cui scegliere.

Non è stato sempre facile ottenere una parete completamente vuota e liscia in cui andare ad inserire poi NARCISO, ma dato che con il fotoritocco/fotoinserimento me la cavo, ho preferito agire in tal senso, piuttosto che tentare all'infinito a forza di "prompt".
